The cattle from which the collagen is extracted were raised outdoors on pasture and have access to grass, air, land and water 365 days a year. The cattle have eaten fresh grass throughout their lives. The cattle from which our collagen is derived are fully traceable back to the farmer and have never been given antibiotics or hormones.
Collagen: an important form of protein
Collagen is an important glue-forming protein in the body that accounts for about 30% of our total protein mass. You can find it in all kinds of tissues, where it provides structure and elasticity. In addition, it provides strength and elasticity to the skin. After the age of 25, our body produces less and less collagen. This is a natural process. After our 50th year of life, our body almost does not produce this protein at all. This manifests itself in wrinkles and less firm skin. Therefore, it may be useful to supplement it.
Types of collagen
There are different types of collagen. For example, you have type 1, 2 and 3. Type 1 is the most abundant in our body with as much as 90%. That is why we also chose to include this form in our supplement. Our collagen is extracted from cattle. From the skin of these animals we extract gelatin, which we then hydrolyze. Hydrolyzing means that we make the protein molecularly smaller, making it easier to absorb.
The living conditions of our cows
Our beef collagen is from grass-fed cows from Argentina. The cattle were raised outdoors on pasture and have access to grass, air, land and water 365 days a year. The cows have eaten fresh grass throughout their lives. All of our collagen is fully traceable to the farmer and have never been administered steroids or hormones. This makes our collagen a forerunner in the collagen market.
All the peripheral aspects are excellent (packaging, instructions, use). But of course, it's what it does that counts. And that's really good. I can feel and see the difference compared to other products. I'll be sticking with Elvou from now on.

I've been using the collagen powder for a couple of weeks now and I feel it's working (which I also like to choose :)); slightly tighter skin, less wrinkle neck. The taste really takes some getting used to but from the 4th day on it goes easily. I take the powder with warm water; cold water gave me a lot of trouble with my bowels.
