Our omega 3 supplement is made from unprocessed, pure oil of Calanus Finmarchicus. Because high doses of the antioxidant astaxanthin are released in the making of this supplement, the oil is protected from oxidation. With 40+ different fatty acids, Calanus oil is a comprehensive supplement. As one of the first in Calanus oil production, our producer controls the entire production process, leading to high quality and sustainability.
Calanus oil contains a blend of different fatty acids
Our Calanus oil is a high-quality dietary supplement containing EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). These polyunsaturated fats known as "fish fatty acids" have numerous benefits.
EPA and DHA support the health of your heart, brain and eyes. At a dosage of 250 mg, DHA helps maintain brain function and normal vision. At a dosage of 250 mg, EPA and DHA contribute positively to normal heart function. Stearidonic acid (or stearidonic acid), is a lesser known omega-3 fatty acid. SDA is an intermediate step in the conversion of the omega-3 fatty acid ALA to EPA.
This supplement is suitable for people who want the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids but do not want to use fish oil because of taste preferences or allergies, for example.

Totox value
TOTOX value is a measure of oxidation consisting of peroxidation (PV) and anisidine value (AV). Due to the dark color of the oil (due to the astaxhantin) the AV cannot be determined, but in other tests (PV) the producer guarantees by measurements a high stability and extremely low totox to the THT.
